Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Can't I just do this with a fog machine?
A. No. The Ghost Screen is specially designed to do this. If you were to shoot fog through a tube with holes drilled in it, the fog would just drift away.

Q. How fast does the fog disappear?
A. 99% of the fog disappears in seconds. With prolonged use under certain circumstances, you may see a thin fog haze, but this is very minimal and rare.

Q. Do I have to use the fog machine you sell?
A. Nope. But you will want to get a good DMX fog machine. The quality of the DMX control circuit matters a lot. We have tested and confirmed the Titan 1500 DMX from Froggy's Fog works well.

Q. Can you customize this for me?
A. Yes. We want it to perform flawlessly and can help you customize it exactly for your needs.

Q. How much fog fluid will I use?
A. This is difficult to answer because of all the variables, such as how often it is used and the duration of the bursts. You could use as little as a 1/4 gallon a day or over a gallon if you are going crazy with it.

Q. What fog fluid should I use and where do I get it?
A. We are big fans of Froggy's Fog and developed this system around their Velocity fluid. Other brands of fast-dissipating fog may work but we haven't tested any of them.

Q. I have had problems with fog machines and my smoke detectors. Will I be able to use this without setting them off?
A. Because the fog disappears so fast, you can use this in areas where normal fog machines would cause problems with smoke detectors. We advise testing first, but chances are you will not have any problems when using a Ghost Screen.
