Automation Control Options:

Stand-Alone Automation Controls This is a Gilderfluke-powered show controller. It operates as a stand-alone unit and comes with a motion sensor. If the letters DMX confuse you, then this is the option you want.

DMX Automation Controls We also have a DMX version available, which gives you full control of all the blaster outputs, as well as the fog machine from your DMX control console. Requires one DMX channel per jet nozzle and a channel for the fog machine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Can't I just do this with a fog machine?
A. No. The Sho-Blast is specially designed to amplify the speed of the fog, while at the same time, forcing the the fog to disappear faster. There is no system that we know of besides CO2 that can create this same effect.

Q. How fast does the fog disappear?
A. Very fast...in seconds. Even when running multiple jets frequently, all traces of fog had completely disappeared in about 45 seconds, with 99% gone in less than three seconds. The same fog fluid without the Sho-Blast takes about six minutes to disappear completely.

Q. What is the difference between the Sho-Blast options?
A. Just the number of blasters. The controls and fog machine are the same on all systems.

Q. Do I have to use the fog machine you sell?
A. Nope. Any fog machine with a 3-pin DMX plug will work. This machine is a very good value for the price, so we recommend it...but you don't have to use this particular one...or even buy it from us.

Q. Can you customize this for me?
A. Yes. We want it to perform flawlessly and can help you customize it exactly for your needs.

Q. Does this use CO2?
A. No...that is the beauty of this system. It uses commonly available fog fluid, yet still produces an effect almost identical to CO2.

Q. How much fog fluid will I use?
A. This is difficult to answer because of all the variables, such as how often it is used and the duration of the bursts. You could use as little as a 1/4 gallon a day or as much as a few gallons if you are going crazy with it.

Q. What fog fluid should I use and where do I get it?
A. We are huge fans of Froggy's Fog and developed this system around their Velocity fast-dissipating fog fluid. Other brands of fast-dissipating fog may work, but we haven't tested any of them.

Q. I have had problems with fog machines and my smoke detectors...will I be able to use them without setting them off?
A. Because the fog disappears so fast, you can use this in areas where normal fog machines would cause problems with smoke detectors. We advise testing first, but chances are you will not have any problems when using a Sho-Blast.
